How We Review Casinos

Cashout Chronicle scores licensed US online casinos on one question above all others: what actually happens when you try to take your money out. Every review on this site follows the same methodology, documented here so you can check our work.

What We Score

Each casino is rated across six criteria, each out of 10. Two of them carry double weight because they are the reason this site exists.

Payout speed and banking (double weight): how fast withdrawals actually clear, how many methods are offered, and how the operator's stated processing time compares to what users report in practice.
Game library and RTP transparency: breadth of slots, table games and live dealer titles, and whether RTP information is published or verifiable through the provider.
App and user experience: mobile app stability, app store ratings, and how easy the cashier and verification flow is to use.
Promotions structure quality: how wagering requirements, game weighting and expiry are structured. We never score or promote bonus codes.
Licensing and trust: confirmed state licensing, regulator standing, and years operating without a suspension.
Customer support: availability, response time and whether support can actually resolve a stuck withdrawal.

The Cashout Report

Every review includes a Cashout Report: a table documenting each withdrawal method the casino offers, its minimum and maximum per transaction, the operator's own stated processing time versus the real time users report, KYC (identity verification) triggers, fees, and reversal or pending period policy. No industry competitor maintains this table with the same consistency. We re-verify banking details twice a year because payout terms change quietly.

Where Our Facts Come From

Primary source: the operator's own cashier page, help center and terms and conditions. We read the banking terms directly and date every claim (for example, "per the operator's terms as of July 2026").
State regulators: the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, Michigan Gaming Control Board, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, West Virginia Lottery, Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, and the relevant authority in each additional legal state, for licensing facts.
Game providers: Evolution, NetEnt, Light and Wonder, IGT and other studios publish RTP ranges for their titles, which we cite for game education claims.
American Gaming Association: for the regulatory landscape and industry-wide context.
User reports: Reddit's r/onlinegambling, Trustpilot and App Store and Google Play reviews. These are always framed as "users report," never presented as verified fact.

Scoring Integrity

A score of 9 or above is rare and reserved for operators with a genuinely clean, fast, well-documented payout record. A 7 is a genuinely good result. A 5 is average. Slow or opaque payouts cap a casino's overall score at 6, no matter how strong its game library or bonus structure is. We do not adjust scores based on advertising relationships.

What We Will Never Do

Review, link to, or recommend an offshore or unlicensed casino.
Publish a bonus code, a "claim now" push, or any content implying a way to beat the house.
Copy the structure or wording of a single competitor's review.
Present an unverifiable claim as fact. If we cannot verify a detail, we cut it.
